Directions: From intersection of Route 45 and 144 at Old Fort, take Route 45East. Through Spring Mills, 6.4 miles from Old Fort, take Heckman CemeteryRoad to the right. One mile to the cemetery on the right side.

Notes:
Historical Status: Still active. However this site does contain some of the earliest markers of German migration into the County, and stands as one of the oldest, continually active cemeteries in the county. The land was donated by John Shook in 1785. The Cemetery Association formed in 1848..
Preservation Recommendation: This site does appear to be in good shape, especially given its age and number of softer, sandstone markers. Many of these markers are beginning to lean heavily and perhaps some volunteer help would work to straighten out the endangered worst.
