Overall Condition: Good |
Notes: |
|
Historical Status: Still active. However this site does contain some of the earliest markers of German migration into the County, and stands as one of the oldest, continually active cemeteries in the county. The land was donated by John Shook in 1785. The Cemetery Association formed in 1848.. |
Preservation Recommendation: This site does appear to be in good shape, especially given its age and number of softer, sandstone markers. Many of these markers are beginning to lean heavily and perhaps some volunteer help would work to straighten out the endangered worst. |
