The Centre County Adopt-A-Cemetery Project is a joint effort of The Centre County Historical Society and The Centre County Genealogical Society in an attempt to preserve and protect the various cemeteries and burial grounds of Centre County

Its focus is three-fold:

• To assist in designating volunteer caretaker groups for burial sites.
• To provide volunteer caretakers as well as existing caretakers with information regarding cemetery preservation and documentation methods.
• To document the conditions and status of Centre County's burial sites.
