The
Centre Furnace Mansion Gardens are tended by the Centre Furnace
Mansion
Garden Committee, coordinated by Mary Sorensen. The Garden Committee includes
volunteers from our community and from the PSU
Master Gardeners of Centre County. We
work together during scheduled weekly gardening times throughout the growing
season to keep the gardens looking their best. We are working toward making
the gardens interpretive by adding garden markers and plant labels. We also
sell plants from the gardens at the Centre County Historical Society's Plant Celebration in the spring. The gardens
at Centre Furnace Mansion require many caring hands and new Volunteers are
always welcome. If you are interested in donating time, funds, services,
or supplies to the gardens, please contact the Centre
Furnace Mansion at (814) 234-4779 or gardens@centrefurnace.org for more information.
