Edith P. Chace

Edith P. Chace, a member of the State College Women's Club, came to Penn State in 1873 to teach home economics. Chace served as Penn State's Director of Home Economics for twenty years. She was secretary for the Christian Home for Working Girls in Pittsburgh from 1902-03 while teaching at Penn State. Chace received her Bachelor's Degree in 1912 from the Teacher's College of Columbia University and her Master's degree in 1918 from Columbia University. Although she retired in 1938 from the university, she remained an active member of the State College Woman's Club.
